Their primary focus is in the area of predictive technologies utilised for measurement and analysis of Partial Discharges (PD) occurring in generators, motors, transformers, switchgear and cable networks.

On-line power factor (Tan Delta) and capacitance monitoring on high voltage bushings, current and voltage transformers and on line winding distortion on power transformers are part of their product offering.

Electrical systems throughout the world experience problems with aging insulation. When an insulation system fails, the results are usually catastrophic. EDI products and technologies assist with the ability to predict when a possible insulation failure will occur, not only saving clients the problems related to the failure of a large critical asset, but also reducing the cost of lost opportunities.

The management team is comprised of experienced entrepreneurs and business professionals from the electrical power industry with a broad range of experience in their target markets. All development, design and manufacturing is undertaken from EDI’s offices and production facilities in Minnesota, USA.
